Oh yeah! I remember liking The Girl in Lover's Lane too. Big Stupid, watch out for the wormhole!

Yeah, Martians has its classic moments, but despite the great title it's really just a dopey family sci-fi comedy, the 1960s equivalent of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Mexican Santa Claus has a "what the hell is this I don't even" factor that the other one just can't touch.
@avclub-bbb3af3d466d7231aa738ff95762091d:disqus : Well, it's known that Mike Nelson is a staunch Republican, if that matters to anyone, but from his persona on the show I hadn't gotten the impression that he was that kind of Republican. But who knows! The ways of fundies are mysterious to me.
Oh hey, here's a thread idea: what's your favorite overlooked episode? The one you love that nevertheless never seems to come up as a fan favorite?
Actually, there was also the guy who played Dr. Forrester's assistant during Season 1, though since it was Season 1, most people overlook him. And I think by "onscreen roles" they mean in a broader sense: the guy watching the movies, the ostensible antagonist, and the antagonist's helper(s) all shifted throughout the…
That said, Brain Guy in a completely different (better) context could have been fantastic. It's too bad he wasn't a recurring character during the Mads era.
Is this the one where in the trailer the guy working on the car says "Sorry, my hands are dirty," and the Evil Business Guy says "So are mine."? Because I saw that trailer a couple times recently before movies, and it looked kind of awful so I stopped paying attention to what movie it was.
Youtube seems to have most or all of them.
I kiss my frog in your honor.
I'm a representative of Aztechnologies.
Fu Manchu is definitely a giant vortex of suck. Monster A-Go-Go is also defiantly anti-entertainment, although it's worth watching once just to say you did it (and to experience that… incredible ending).
Oh yeah, good point. There are some truly fantastic episodes in seasons 7 through 10, but the host segments really took a nosedive. You just kind of have to endure them, or maybe go make a sandwich.
A Date With Your Family is great for getting your '50s hate on.
Help, I'm falling at a 60-degree angle breaking all the laws of physics!
I tend to prefer Joel, but they're both good. In fact, probably the majority of my favorite episodes are Mike episodes.
Mexican Santa Claus is a true classic.
My family never had the requisite cable channels, so it was hard to watch while it was airing, but my first year of college was also their last year on the air, and in an adjacent dorm I discovered a crowd of people who regularly gathered in the third-floor lounge on Sunday evenings for MST3K night.
I like his PR instincts. "My opponents' only choice is to release a picture of an adorable doggie covered in blood and bullet wounds! This'll surely bring the public to my side!"
I read this and was like, wait, there was a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie?
