It's not especially well-known or beloved, but Arlo and Janis is way better than the concept of "middle-aged couple and their son and a cat" would suggest. This article just reminded me to look at his website again, and there's actually a book in the works! I'll have to get that for my dad.

I used to work with Justin Bailey. That was great.

Oh yeah! That's the one this was reminding me of. I never read that either. Wikipedia suggests (and the blog it links to confirms) that no, he hasn't. He looked into reviving it as a webcomic a few years ago, but since then it hasn't been something he's been inspired to do yet.

Hah, yeah, my PC is actually not so hot, and thanks to my el cheapo video card I generally have to drop high-end games down to 1280x720 (and even then the framerate is more film-quality than game-quality). These days the gaming discussion boards are dominated by long, incredibly puerile bouts of name-calling over whether the Xbox 360 or the PS3 is the better gaming system. Which is just dumb; even mouth-breathing console zombies have to realize by this point that the PC has left them in the dust.

I'm so glad

Well, to be fair, that line comes straight from the book, and it sounds better in context: "We're not so different, you and I. I've got a bad feeling about this. Uh-oh… We've got company."

OK, that's it, you guys. I'm stopping the Kar until you can knock it off.

Dark Passengerside Airbag: Hey, that's a good one!

It sure does!

Did you know that if we got the government to shoot the 500 richest men in the country and distributed their wealth to every American man, woman, and child, everyone could immediately retire to a Caribbean island and get backrubs on the beach from a pina colada?

I didn't quite get the exhibit, although it's true I only read about it in the media. Was it about the art of video games, or was it solely focused on the visual-art aspect of video games? Because those are rather different things.
