Two of my least favorite scenes on this show so far. For one, Piper's speech that was far too cartoonish and played out. Speaking of played out, the "dancing on Ecstasy" scene that was shot for shot identical to a billion other shows and movies that feature somebody dancing in a nightclub whist high. I don't know… I can't picture Groucho threatening to skullfuck Harpo. Well, I can, but I try not to.

I'm keeping myself to one episode a day instead of one all-day marathon this time. Thankfully the slower, lower stakes pace of this season makes that much easier.

Good god, that picture of happy Piper is terrifying. Did she watch a cursed video tape a week earlier? I mean, I had my suspicions that Alex crawled out of a well, but jeez.

Good to hear. My biggest fear was that it would retroactively hurt the original story by trying to expand on things better left mysteries, so I'm glad he doesn't tie them too closely together. I'll be starting it tonight since I burned through the rest of the previous book earlier.

Finishing up Joe Hill's NOS4A2. Really enjoying it. Charlie Manx is one of the most "fun" horror villains I've seen in a while.
