Just by looking at your past 10 comments in your profile here, this is actually subtextual way of describing you, correct?

Yup. The whole marriage breakup in Asylum struck a sour note to me.

Mine too.

True, but all of season 7.2 seemed a little too serious for my tastes, I liked his tone before that, and feel he sometimes goes too serious.

Precisely.

Daleks in New York? Poppycock!

I had trouble finding any one episode of 9 that was truly terrible, so while that one's not terrible, there were parts I found lacking.
The first two were designed as show the Doctor in two different worlds, but the actual plot of the second wasn't my cup of tea.

1st: BEST: The Time Meddler WORST: The Gunfighters

Yup love it. Maybe there's some plot holes in it, but it more than makes up for it in my book with atmosphere and clever twists and character moments.
I also like any story where the Doctor is flawed and has to overcome his own self to succeed.

I like him a lot too, though of course that's largely based on his Big Finish work, so it's more like one of those what if…? things.
He had things I liked from most of my favorite Doctors; a unique quirky persona, the ability to go from genial to steely when he was made to.
The TV movie was a bit naff, but he's much

Martha over Donna? Oh goodness no.

Oh I liked the idea of a companion from a different time, just for the culture shock of modern day stories for a bit.
It's why I would have preferred Victorian Clara over the 21st century one.

Oh bloody hell did the Liberty Angel piss me off.
There's so many ridiculous questions that raises, and all because it's a cool visual idea.

I agree with all of this.
Unless RTD specifically said hands-off to any character from his run he was going to use on Torchwood, I find a bit too 'I only want to play with my toys' from Moffat.
River really has diminished for me with every appearance, and I contrary to what I just said I hope the next exec producer

The lesson as always is that Whovians will never be satisfied whatever the show does.
There's a reason I only am willing to discuss the show critically on this website, as the majority of you lot seem much more reasonable.

I so wish there had been a second series of the 9th incarnation, just because I wanted to see what he was like having beaten those demons.

They're not breasts ok? They're Dalek bumps.

I don't think it's quite that sinister as you make out. He is still beyond benevolent and agent of good in the universe, even if his pathological loneliness is a bit on the creepy side.
It's why I wouldn't mind a non-human companion just to shake things up a bit.

I had such high hopes for that. Not quite to the level of the Gaiman lead balloon episode, but high hopes.

I'm more forgiving of Simm playing him over the top like he did. If he's meant to be a dark mirror of The Doctor with no benevolence, then given Tennant's quite frequent over the top performance it made sense in a way.
I also have a soft spot for villains who revel in their villainy, and he could also switch to being
