True, And the Ice Warrior suit could easily have been an old costume from the original series.
As well as we only ever saw one of them and there wasn't much complicated CGI apart from the end where he took his helmet off.

Oh the Salvage Bros were the weakest part. They seemed something that needed to be there because the episode required antagonists, not so much that they'd been well thought out.
They were incidental at best to what was going on in the episode.

It's very true that unlike most recent companions who jumped at the chance to go off with the Doctor (ahem…Amy and her slightly creepy obsession) she was one who had to be convinced.
I agree we still don't know what makes Clara tick as a person, but I'm wondering if that's been deliberate given her whole idea is a plot

I think all this, as well as the directors are being very good about working around a budget not to show it.
The sub episode was in perpetual half darkness and that would definitely help disguise things.
The one I'm worried will blow the budget out is the Gaiman one, especially the way The Doctors Wife originally was

1. Maybe the reveal of what is going on will happen down the road? Why does it need to be resolved this quickly, it's obviously all leading up to the series finale for a giant reveal.
2. You're so in the minority about the season since the Christmas story being awful, Care to say why you think that?

Oh It needed that two. The biggest flaw was that it was the kind of episode the older series would have devoted four episodes too.

I thought the first beard was Tegan?

I really wish they'd reconsider the new single episode mandate in instances like this and Akhaten. Some are just either too large or too important to compress into 44 minutes.

Have fun. I am out too. Look forward to healthy discussions tomorrow loveys.

City of Death as well.

Oopsie. Yes it was, I don't know what came over me.

It reminded me a lot of the final Star Trek TNG episode with it's mult-level thinking.
I'm sure some boffin could poke flaws in the logic, but you can do that with most stuff. I like that they tried to be big level with this and made viewers think deeper.

The submarine one probably used two sets rejgged over and over I'd imagine. P

Am I the only one who would like an extended couple of episodes dealing with the Time War by now?
Sort of a Genesis Of The Daleks scenario where the current Doctor has to intervene somehow.

Agreed with everything.
There's a absolute reason the Tardis is weary of her. Whether that's the dangerous nature of her very existence in a time way or whether she's something more sinister I don't know.
I mean by that that the Tardis is more than a mechanical device, that's been established, and it's clearly feeling

I was really worried it was going to be a rehash of 42 based solely on the description, but was pleasantly surprised.
I always enjoy episodes that tell me how the Doctor actually ticks.

I once put hair removal cream in my brother's shampoo, but he was in his crewcut phase so it wasn't awfully mean.

My theory on Clara's secret is that she's a time anomaly from planet Modcloth that causes me want to buy new dresses over and over.

My boyfriend has your avatar as a tattoo.

'87 here. Definitely a 'millennial' but I'll hot anyone with a shoe who calls me that.
