Who fans tend to be a tad intense and of course he's the focal point. I think it was the amount of questions he was receiving from Sherlock and Who fans demanding answers that drove him batty. 
In fact, I think it caused him to delete his account.

He was good. Pleasantly surprised at that seeing as it may be the first time he performed a  classic baritone role (I could be wrong).
