Not every show has to appeal to you. Focus on shows you like and let other people watch what they like.

I'm a catowner and even I agree with this. My cat will be affectionate to whoever feeds it and gives it shelter, and I firmly believe that if it moved to someplace else, it'd forget me in a heartbeat.
I actually have no clue what most people see in them as pets.

Yeah I know, it's such a crazy difference between Mad Men and films of the era shot in New York, that I always end up seeing the artificial nature of Mad Men's recreation of it from afar.
