I hope we get to see Scully tripping balls in one episode this time around.

Now that I've watched the pilot, I see that they've dealt with that by making something that's not really all that much of an adaptation of Book of Strange New Things.

Nah, we named her after Veronica Mars.

So say we all.

This one felt like a copy of a copy of Batgirl of Burnside — "let's be aggressively young and hip and cute and urban!" As you said, not for me, but I've read enough canceled-too-soon books in my time to empathize with its fans.

I didn't mind the interior art on the Soule book, but (at least in the trades I read) it was a jarring shift from the painted covers.

Or that he was worried about writing something down that could be used against him in legal proceedings.

Mike Scully said in an interview that after they did that episode, they realized it could have been a movie. Ah well.

I am going through something similar watching the new MST3K with Baby Pontifex, who laughs at a whole other subset of jokes than I do.

These lists are rarely comprehensive, and it's rare that there aren't a few surprises every month. I don't think ANYBODY knew Black Mirror was coming to Netflix a few years back, for instance.

That bird is a LIAR!

That's OK, I still call Tracy Morgan "Tracy Jordan."

And even so SJA ran five seasons, which is pretty darn good for a British kids' show.

These are the saddest things I've seen online today.

Voyager always struck me as extruded Star Trek product: "This one's got a ship, not like Deep Space Nine! And a buncha aliens! Ooh, da Borg! Getcher Star Trek over here, folks!"

I continue to think there's a good chance this will never actually happen.

I went to a play in New York about ten years ago and Jane Seymour was in the audience. I can honestly say she was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen who is not Mrs. Pontifex - she glowed. She literally glowed. You could feel the collective attention of everyone near her follow her as she made her way through

I can kind of see it, actually. Presumably the new companions will be Elisha Cuthbert, Shannon Elizabeth, January Jones, et al.

And there was a lovely music cue that called back to the Doctor-and-Clara theme.

Also every man who voted for him.
