The premise explained in the credits may be out of date but the show is still called Burn Notice.

Ha! I've lived in Chicago all my life and I've never heard that one and I lived on Paulina, twice.

@inko8:disqus Had to look that one up, then I still didn't understand it, then I thought about it for a bit. Ew. Now I keep having flashbacks of John Hurt laughing at the dinner table, poor deluded fool! I found that scene pretty traumatic and hilarious at the same time.

Especially since they already went there in a way with Paul. But youth culture became pervasive at that time, it'll be interesting to how it affects the story and characters.

I thought I was the only one who was fascinated by Lane's red chair. It was sad to see it in their poky little apartment (that reminded me of Don's bachelor pad in the village). It seemed to be the talisman of his glittering new life in America when it was in his office at Sterling Cooper.

Don looked oddly beautiful and vulnerable with that thing on his face and his hair all messed up. He was definitely Dick in that moment.

@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus That would make Don the equivalent of the nasty Jaguar guy, an uncomfortable thought, I would say.

@avclub-46aa93604a1ed165a19517e01f6f683c:disqus You put it very well, the final scene as a cliffhanger, a question. That gives it more stakes as the final scene of the season.

They stopped just short of the Summer of Love. I wonder if there will be hippies when they come back or if we will still be in the SCDP bubble.

Not for inspiration, to "clear away the cobwebs" just to have some laughs and stop thinking about Ajax and Jaguar for a while. It's probably less tiring than drinking Old Fashioneds and meaningless sexual encounters.

@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus By implicitly do you mean because she is Don's wife? The reel was all about her sexuality and looks. Megan did the same moves when she auditioned for Little Murders. Don just didn't see that.
