You're welcome! I'm glad that it has made your life a bit easier. If you're looking for results, the official Sochi site is a little better, although it has its own problems. Namely, instead of using text labels for each sport, it uses images, so you have to decipher hieroglyphics in order to find anything.

Oh, man, that brings back memories. I was in Germany when it hosted the World Cup in 2006, and I remember scads of orange-clad Dutch fans jumping up and down singing that song.

Oh, that. That was… memorable.

I know that, which is why I said that while it's nice to see some primetime coverage for short track, it would be nice to have some live coverage too (in the morning and afternoon). It is the only sport that won't be shown live on any channel even once.

To me, short track is the most fun because all the skaters go at the same time. There's nothing wrong with events where people just compete against the clock, but another dimension gets added when people are jostling for position (especially in a sport like short track, where people can and do slip all the time and

Yeah, in 2012, the tournament events (e.g. soccer) were pushed on their own cable channel that appeared just for the month of the Olympics. NBC's commitment to show so much curling and hockey is nice, but we're missing out on seeing almost everything else live because three of its channels are used just for those

I was thinking about live coverage, but you're right that they did show some short track on NBC last night and will show more. The problem, for me, is the number of live events: zero. I believe it's the only sport that they're not showing live at all.

By the way, the way it works now is that CNBC *is* already CurlingNBC (it's the only sport they're showing), and MSNBC and USA share curling and hockey. All other sports are shown on NBC and NBCSN, but of course the only live events that NBC will show are the men's and women's hockey finals. So essentially *every*

You know what I hate about NBC's coverage? That every Olympics, they pick a sport to highlight based entirely on whether a top American is competing in it, then four years later drop coverage entirely because the contender retired.

Yeah, her costume might be my clearest memory of the 2010 Olympics. Other skaters wore "themed" clothing as well, but she took it to a whole new literal level, down to the gold threads and skin-colored spandex. I couldn't notice anything else about her skating, and I wondered how judges could possibly score her

I don't know if the uniforms of the Dutch and Italian athletes are especially notable this time around, but there's something to be said for having a "national" color that remains consistent through the years and across sports. At every Olympics and World Cup, the Dutch wear orange and the Italians wear blue. In fact,

It's true, though I'm not sure that any uniform will ever beat the Japanese figure skater Miki Ando's Cleopatra costume in the 2010 Olympics:

Hi, guys. Those of you who want to find out which events are on TV and which of those are on tape delay without going through NBC's nightmarish schedule might like the sortable version I made:
