That's season seven.

BTW anyone notice that in "Canning Randy" Becky (Robin's co-anchor) does a commercial for the "Boats, Boats, Boats" for a Farhampton boat show? Kinda neat continuity. (Only reason I know this is that I just watched all 160 episodes of HIMYM in anticipation of the last season over the last five weeks.)

The Superbowl being the backdrop for a Pete and/or Lane suicide would be pretty stirring. And if they're willing to jump ahead a few more months, there were large scale anti-Vietnam demonstrations on April 15, 1967 in NYC.

That's actually a great point.

Haha I totally forgot she survived the fall and everything—I was like What the hell she's back from the dead?

Best. Post. Ever.

No the roommate is straight and eventually becomes Ted's wife. Rachel Bilson is a lesbian and mets another at the bar.

So is the end of "The Best Man" where Lily tells Ted that the bride wants to see him a hint that Robin is the bride? I mean it doesn't really make sense for Ted to go visit Nora, right? That said it definitely could be a red herring.

Marshall's interview
Didn't go well, no? So I don't think we're going to see anymore of Dave Foley since Marshall didn't get the job. Or did I miss something?

Loved this episode
Totally agree with Myles on the "A" grade. I laughed a TON this episode, even if a lot of the jokes were relatively sophomoric. Really thought Kevin was brilliant in this episode, especially the "gets me horny" line about watching Michael and Holly as well as "she goes to another school."

Was that old lady the same old lady who kept interrupting Ted and Stella in the hallway during "As Fast as She Can"?

Ironically, I was happy with the end credits. The one thing I noticed at the end was that normally over the Bays-Thomas credits it says "Stayed tuned for Rules of Engagement next" or something to that effect but this week they didn't do that. So I thought that was a nice nod. However, I guess looking back on it total

Mermaid theory red herring
Any one else beside me fall for the red herring in the cold opener? I thought the mermaid theory was going to play off the Captain's split facial expressions, i.e. just like mermaids have a tail on the bottom and tatas on the top, people sometimes have split looks. So in other words I

Sound off?
Was it just my recording on Tivo or did the sound in the first act seem off. Like the lips were not in sync with the words. It seemed like they were talking half a second ahead of the mouths moving.
