Completely agree with all of this. I did laugh out loud at "She doesn't want the fucking oranges!" . The whole scene was absurd.

I think the grades for each episode have been spot on. To be
honest, it's been a chore to watch. I haven't given up yet because I
enjoy Tom Hardy as an actor but if nothing happens (like, you know,
anything AT ALL to advance the story) next week, I think I'm done. The show does ooks great though.
