Liked the movie
First I read the original blog as it was being written having picked it up about 3/4 of the way through. It was an entertaining daily read, and it was kind of cool that it was made into a movie.

OM: OOTP is not a bad choice, but I still believe that scenes in the film break the 4th wall of noir, whereas Asphalt Jungle, Crime Wave and Double Indemnity don't.

I just watched Out of the Past, yesterday for the first time ever, mainly to have an opinion on "Best Noir Ever." Great movie fun watching Jane Greer play one chin cleft against another, however I will still stick with Double Indemnity since it is 100% noir from start to finish, while OOTP has these occasional…
