Going on one date is hardly leading people on.

I'm sorry, but no one can put "I'm not into (insert race here)" without coming off as a total racist.

The one in Elmwood Park is probably closest to me, but as I don't have a car, I'm rarely that deep into Jersey. The next time I take a road trip, though - Friendly's all the way.

Yes, you're right. They don't want to take any chances. Some Christians do that too. Totally unnecessary imo, since "God" is not God's name.

Technically, "El" is the Hebrew word for God. YHWH is actually God's personal name. In modern Bibles, "El" is always translated "God" and "YHWH" is always translated as "THE LORD" in all caps.

I don't disagree with you (that a shorter run might be tighter and more focused). Not sure that's going to happen, but in theory it sounds good.

Dominic had one great episode - his introduction. After that, it was like the writers couldn't figure out what to do with him, and that actor, as fine as he was, certainly had nowhere near the charisma of Enrico Colantoni.

Well, I'm guessing I'm going to be happy I watched Person of Interest before Community this week.

For what it's worth, the decision to renew this show came a long time before last night's ratings were in. I would be surprised if we don't get a full 22 episode 5th season.

When the machine wrote "Father," I just started sobbing.

Galavant (which I loved) is as likely to come back as this show is to get canceled - which is to say, not at all. This show will definitely be back.

This comment would be far more cutting if this movie were good.

That made me laugh more than anything in the actual episode.

I tried to watch that movie a bunch of times, and never got through it. A film with such an interesting premise, good art direction, and great cast has no business being so boring.

"It’s only in those moments when Vinterberg empties the broad, flat
widescreen frame and uses it to paint sloping, grassy landscapes that he
betrays a glimmer of personal investment. Ironically, these are the
moments that feel truest to Hardy’s fiction."

Well, they have Jedediah Bila, who's not quite WASPy. She's more of the Mediterranean type.

Shut up and pay your rent!

I agree, but honestly, I don't even know how you would begin to create a 22 episode season of only the best parts of this show (or Good Wife) - I feel like my head would explode of awesome 3/4s of the way through.

The only way this episode is a B+ is because PoI has set such a consistently high bar for itself. (And yes, I know grades don't really matter.) I'm astonished that in this golden age of cable TV shows, PoI and The Good Wife, two shows on the old-people network, CBS, are my favorite shows on TV.
