I would agree with that.

I find the end of Last Battle incredibly moving, and I particularly love the exchange that @avclub-6eebc030d78d41b6cbcf9067aeda9198:disqus quoted. When I talk about theology with my friends, I often reference that conversation.

I can imagine some modern liberal ministers living with their girlfriends and dating outside the religion. Like, maybe an Episcopalian; in that denomination you basically don't even have to believe in Jesus to be a part of the church. No offense to Episcopalians, although if you are offended, you should probably take

I knew there was a reason I liked you. Lutherans unite!

I know I've said this before, but Casey never really seemed like a Lutheran minister to me - they should've just gone non-denominational.

Ooh, Arias category. I wish I had seen that.

I might be the only person who loves Doctor Dolittle. I fully understand its shortcomings as a movie, and after the two-hour mark, it does become a slog. But I just adore almost the entire score, from "My Friend, the Doctor" through "At the Crossroads" to "After Today" and "Fabulous Places," I frequently listen to the

Ugh, Todd, it's Queen Zixi of Ix. Come on!

Actually, Annie only has six kids in it.

I thought Sweeney Todd was not awful. Not good, but not awful. It easily could've been much better, without changing too much of what's on screen, though.

My little sister played Little Red Riding Hood in a community theatre production, and she was very good.

You've just described Marie's Crisis to a T. (Marie's Crisis is a showtunes-only piano bar in the west village in NYC.)

As a theatre geek, a film version of Into the Woods does not make me rejoice.

She was lying about being raped, but she was telling the truth about Dunn killing the booking agent. Since the agent brought in good acts for Narcisse, he wanted compensation. I don't believe Narcisse cared one bit about the phony rape allegations. The agent (sorry, I can't remember his name) was useful, and now he

Nucky's a businessman. He knew Narcisse would kill the girl; heck, he practically asked him to. So there's no leverage in play - an agreement was made, and Nucky and Chalky will abide by that.

Love Me Tonight is one of my all-time favorite musicals. If you don't watch it tonight, do yourself a favor and buy the DVD so you can watch later. It's so charming, funny, and clever. Some of Larry Hart's best comedy lyrics in "Isn't it Romantic," "Lover," and of course, the best-titled song of all time, "The Son of

I kind of feel like this episode might've been better if Ruxin had been in it. Funnier, at least, and that's usually better.

I remember Fosse saying something about him like, "Well, he doesn't really have the look or the body of a choreographer, but maybe he could be one of those choreographers who just sits in a chair and dictates." Obviously, that didn't work out.

@avclub-072f76c18f8d7d526bd0d58166eb82ae:disqus Naturally! Excited for the broadcast of the London production next month.

I love this movie. The opening sequences, dancers warming up to "On Broadway", is one of the most perfect things in American cinema, IMO.
