To be fair, it's also probably magic that makes Isla Fisher so incredibly hot.

I mean, that's an old magician's trick. The magician always has a card he wants you to pick and will make sure you pick it.

It's not anywhere close to being as good as The Brothers Bloom, but honestly, it doesn't really want to be. Ocean's 11 is a great, fun film, but it's nowhere near as powerful as, say, The Limey, because it doesn't want to be that kind of movie.

I never thought he was a poor actor. At least, not in Wonderfalls - I don't know if I ever saw him in anything else. I think he played Eric kind of perfectly.

Yeah, I was going to say it used to be on youtube. I like the unaired version but I think ultimately the show is better with Lee Pace and Tracie Thoms.

I wish they had kept Kes and gotten rid of Kim, like they originally wanted to. Damn you, most beautiful people list!

I say go for it, if you have any affinity for Star Trek of this type. I've watched the whole series at least twice, and although some of it is awfully ridiculous and bad, I have a real fondness for it and enjoy it far more than I ever enjoyed, say, Smash.

I tried hard to watch Enterprise, and it was just grueling, sitting through episode after episode in that first season. I never felt like that, watching S1 eps from TNG or Voyager, where I felt like I was practically doing community service by watching the show.

@avclub-0e3078a14e84988234576e9696f69dc8:disqus I always kind of wondered how superior Khan's intellect could be if he couldn't figure out Spock basically broadcasting over the air that he's about to speak in code.

Two of the three ladies get nude.

How did they think they could get away with it? It just took me out of the movie completely. They had me up till that point, and Quinto's "Khaaaaan!" seemed almost designed to get laughs cause it was so goofy.

@avclub-f62296b9393b6ab9229ebde91ed8469f:disqus You've read the original script, right? As much as I adore the finished film, I kind of wish we had a three-hour version of the original script.

I remember some people saying that Lee deserved an Oscar nomination at the time, and a lot of other people scoffing. Which is too bad, cause she definitely did deserve one.

I guess we're all listing:
Mulholland Drive
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Blue Velvet
Lost Highway (although really it's kind of on the same level as Blue Velvet for me)
Inland Empire (this might go up upon rewatch)
Eraserhead (just for "In Heaven")
Wild at Heart
The Elephant Man
The Straight Story
Dune

I think this is easily one of Lynch's best films, if not his best.

I had forgot about it until right now. The rule against recording has nothing to do with the authors or the producers if they don't care about their work

Although Lin's jab about gratuitous nudity keeping the show running seemed a little off-base - when was the last time nudity kept a show open? The 1970s?

@avclub-d89b833158f0d9a73fd33bb243fe5786:disqus Cristin Milioti was also at the center of an infamous Broadway controversy from a few years back.

Although TWoP started as a Dawson's Creek-only review site.
