Also, Bach!

I'm not sure why I should watch Adventure Time. Can anyone tell me? I've seen like five or six and they made me chuckle maybe once, overall.

I agree with you, actually. That's why I was surprised by how good Cusick was, especially since he was limited the actual words of the gospel.

Yeah, I'm a Lutheran too and although I can appreciate gospel music, Bach is what sends me into religious ecstasy.

I love Emperor's New Groove, but Disney has made many movies that are shorter than ENG's 78 minutes (not counting the package films) - Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, The Rescuers, Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, Rescuers Down Under, Home on the

Here are Tuesday morning thoughts on History Channel's The Bible with Franklinshepard!

@Kumagoro:disqus Projected film is shown at a higher resolution than a modern 1080p HDTV. Any "mistakes" that were created by remastering in HD were shown clearly in theatres when the films were originally shown.

I didn't hate all of Space Chimps. Wasn't that the movie where Kristin Chenoweth was a tiny, soprano-squealing alien? She was terrific in it.

Agreed. I'm willing to give this film the benefit of the doubt based on Lilo and Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon.

Cool. I agree.

Not sure if you are railing against all Christians or just Catholics. Cause there are lots of gay couples who do get married at Christian churches, so clearly some are into the voodoo rituals.

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus As I wrote last week, I'd bet that you could have several seasons of Bible story adaptations, and there would be several million people who would watch every week.

It looks like they're going to harmonize the gospels. I'm just guessing but they will probably roughly follow the synoptics with a few additions from John here and there.

Moses is just as important, though, and some would claim he is more important. Thus, you get the Transfiguration in the

Nope. I don't even remember a mention of Ezekiel. Jeremiah is a minor character in the first half of this week's episode, and Isaiah gets a few mentions, both in the Daniel segment and the Nativity segment.

Oh, I agree with you completely. That said, nothing will stop the shippers. I could probably find some GIFs on tumblr right now.

The most annoying part/biggest problem I had with the movie was Jonah Hill's character.

So again, I use Tuesday's space to talk about this week's episode of The Bible. If anyone is talking about this somewhere else, let me know!

I didn't think Megamind was great - I found it disposably entertaining, but lightweight. I kind of felt the same way about Rise of the Guardians, quite honestly, so you might really like it.

Yeah, I kind of figured she had killed her husband, since she was being played by Jessalyn Gilsig.
