I have a marginal amount of talent, and I got lead roles all the time in high school and community theatre. And my town was SMALL, but musicals were still put on at least twice a year.

It's just tannis root!

I like to tell my little brother that I've been watching The Simpsons longer than he's been alive. He's 20.

Oh, I disagree. I love the original Rescuers, although as a child of the 80s I do have a little more fondness for Down Under.

I honestly don't feel this season is more cartoony than last season. I can think of a bunch of cartoony plots from Season 1. That seems to be what Greg Garcia likes and wants to make, and I personally quite enjoy it.

I was watching a S7 or S8 episode a few weeks ago, and a new roommate came in and said, "Wow, this is one of the older episodes, right?"

Surprising to me that they're doing Little Mermaid - it was their last feature not animated in CAPS, so it's going to be much more difficult to post-convert into 3D. Unless, of course, the conversion process has nothing to do with the actual cel animation. I have no idea how it actually works.

Rescuers Down Under could probably be post-converted to 3D fairly easily, if Disney had any interest in doing it, since it was the first film to be animated entirely with CAPS.

I've given Monsters Inc so many chances. (Ok, just three.) I just don't respond to it. I'm glad so many people react so strongly to it, but it doesn't do anything to me.

You jest, but I would seriously go see that in 3D in theatres.

I didn't say the show IS anything like TNG - I said it seems to want to be TNG. Which is kind of a misnomer. It actually seems to want to be TNG crossed with Lost and dinosaurs.

I don't know - I think that the comic's "After the Fall" makes a MUCH better and more satisfying end to Angel's story than S5 does.

Don't forget Housing Works!

Me too. Eleven years ago, I was like, a TV show about Superboy? Cool!

TNG had a pretty uniformly terrible first season. Honestly, this show seems to want to be TNG, which IMO isn't a bad thing. I don't know if it can get there, but to judge it based on three hours seems very short-sighted to me, especially since if you were to judge TNG on their first three hours, you'd probably have

It definitely wasn't good, but I thought it was worth watching. It's less than six hours long, for one thing.

Every time someone said "The Will", a little piece of me died.

Anything would've been better than last week's. Try watching last week's episode with the sound off - it's a lot better. Still not funny, but also not nearly as painful!

I think Meh05g is referring to HIMYM, although S2 of The Wire is indeed classic.

Dishatred is a perfectly cromulent word.
