Woah - not sure I agree with the criticism of Outta This World - yes, the vocals aren't stellar, but they're no worse than anything Simmons has contributed.  Plus, the guitar solo on Outta This World is outstanding - enough to make you forget about Ace.

I'll have to re-watch "Brown Betty".  I remember hating it so much when it first aired, I could barely sit through it - kinda like "Fly" in Breaking Bad.

I'd like to enjoy Swans, but the music/noise ratio is waaay off for me.  Gimme Kylesa or even Sonic Youth instead.  To each his own, I guess, but these songs just don't work for me.

Kinda pumped about watching Season One on DVD. Like so many of my current guilty pleasures now, the AV Club has turned me on to another cool distraction.

Incitatus, the only recent thing I've listened to is Mark Tremonti's stuff - it's much harder than anything he played on (gulp) Creed or Alter Bridge.  The guy can actually sing!  Unfortunately, "You Waste Your Time", "Decay" and "Leave It Alone" all seem to lack enough melody to keep them in permanent rotation…
