Disagreed. I think GoT needs at least one scenery-chewer in the show, and he does it nicely.

"No one between Casterly Rock and High Garden saw this gigantic army marching across the country side (in winter too!) and bothered to tell Dany et all on Dragonstone?"
"I began to resent any time away from this long-awaited meeting"
Wow, this must be one of the most inconsistent albums in existence. I'd happily put the best of it (title track and Put Your Money On Me) onto an Arcade Fire Best Of, while I'd put the worst of it (Chemistry and both versions of Infinite Content) in a lead-lined box at the bottom of the sea.
I'm sure 10,000 people have already said this, but that review really didn't read anything like an A-.
I didn't mean that we needed to see the vision (did they show the castle in the opening scene, though?) It was more his reaction- the shift from not wanting to go near the fire, to reluctantly facing it, to seeing nothing, to seeing an army of zombies magically appear seemed to take a few seconds. He barely had time…
Also very weird pacing. We got a hat felt like minutes of Daeny and co staring at a castle (which must have come into view hours ago) get slowly closer, followed by an even longer walk into it. The Hound, on the other hand, looks at a fire for a second or so and instantly gets visions in a weirdly rushed scene.
"Game Of Thrones nowadays is mostly exposition. Whole scenes contain no subtext, and the dialogue’s main function is to establish things straightforwardly: history, goals, worldview. It’s written like dueling status updates"
Sure, but the way the UK focuses specifically on baking cakes, puddings etc is somewhat distinctive (though still far from unique). Of course, if you were uncharitable you could say that's because other cultures tend to do the other parts of the meal better…
I think I've barely revisited anything since my mid-teens (when I watched Simpsons episodes an unhealthy number of times). Where do people find the time? I don't have enough to watch most things for the first time.
Yeah, I'd got that things weren't really real, and that she'd been in car crash, and then they went and played that song. They could perhaps have been a bit more subtle about the whole thing.
Most Australians I've met have basically been Australian Coopers.
"It's obvious who the guests are, every single time"
I thought that was Back to the Future II…
It does, but the Replicants aren't supposed to be on the planet.
"Now I see why the hosts are always naked in the facility (and Dolores is not): to dehumanize them"
"the most infamously vile hole of scum and villainy on the internet"
Yes to Matamoros Banks. I'd also put Paradise pretty high in a Springsteen all-time-best list.
Ah, that makes more sense. I must have misremembered.
I know it was a Big Dramatic Moment and the God of Cliches must be appeased, but would it really have killed them to cut from the Unsullied standing motionless and grim on their boat to a Dothraki boat with everybody vomiting over the side?
