Yeah, I can see that coming as the next big plot move.  Aside from the increasingly high-handed treatment of the psychopathic king, here's potential there in Tywin and Tyrion's conversation in this episode- Tywin's 'do everything for family' approach sets him up nicely to be ironically offed by his own grandson.  And

Was it my imagination, or did his buddies also put him down right on top of them?

I think she's been better this season, though.  There's been parts where she gets to smile about how fun it is to be Khaleesi- she's getting arrogant, sure, but it's a nice break from the generally glum bunch over on Westeros.  I wouldn't want more, though, as her story at the moment seems to be a succession of

Well, presumably it's all a giant setup for a big fight between dragons and ice zombies about five seasons from now.  But it's still fun stuff.

Three more shots, really.

None of the White Walkers seem particularly tall, though.  Maybe there are giant White Walkers out there.

That's just another way to say spirit quest.

Given that they were building up to the wedding, though, I think they really should have found more to do with Robb and Cat.  No-one commenting here seemed to think he was in with a chance of winning.  With more in the way of badass moments and victories en route, episode nine could have been even more powerful.

To be fair, though, he's freaking enormous and very battle-scarred, and his child companion just knifed your buddy to death.  You'd have to give some serious thought to running.

Opposite here.  Unspoiled and it was pretty damn horrible.  Although for a second I thought it was a bear's head and was confused.

I find her storyline to be a fun little diversion for when things get heavy in Westeros.  After a distressing first season, she's now just bumbling through the desert with her dragons picking up wacky companions and having victories fall into her lap.  Nice to see someone (who isn't obviously eeeeevil) having fun and

Yeah, the whole guest rights thing aside, being allies with people always involves the potential risk of being murdered by them.  You can't keep your guard up at all times.  You've just got to trust them not to be absolute murdering bastards, and unfortunately Frey was.

It was still two dead kids, though.  Just not the ones you thought.

'a knowing look'?  What's the one thing we know about Jon Snow?

Joffrey's far too much fun to watch.  He was bringing it at Tyrion's wedding.

While Robb was a long way from my favourite character, having seen that fantastically filmed ending, I'd actually have liked to have seen more of him and Catelyn, just to build up to that moment.  But they would have to find something more interesting to do with him- the scenes he got were generally less than

Heeeeey, my 'a' is doing vital clarification work.  Ned's dead, baby, and now Ned's baby's dead, and Ned's also a dead baby.  Gotta keep track of these things.

Ned's a dead baby.

That was an odd moment.  The slaves of the city throwing in their lot with the attackers and deciding for revolution–which is what seems to have happened–should be a pretty big moment.  I know it was a crowded episode, but really something of that should have been shown.  Instead we got an admittedly nice fight scene

Aaaaah, that would make much more sense.  Now you mention it, the redhead bit was also a little… off.
