While I'm not endorsing Unauthorized Cinnamon's unorthodox approach to communication, it seemed pretty obvious to me that Devo's first comment here is of the 'I know something you don't know' variety.  It's possible I'm wrong, of course, but that would make the nudge-nudge-wink-wink tone something of a mystery.

The Daenerys section this week felt like a hugely condensed bit of storytelling.  Obviously we missed the fight, and even the buildup to the fight, and instead got the guy coming in and… handing over his army, it seemed.  Was there any kind of deal there?  He seemed to be doing it because Daeny is hawt, which I'm sure

This musical needs to happen now.

I'd say B+.  Great wedding stuff in particular, but I can't get fully behind Sam's big action scene because… it was Sam.  Dude still annoys me.

I think this episode showed that she doesn't even need to get drunk to get belligerent anymore.  Progress!

Yeah, I'd guess maybe Simms thought of her the same way I did- as a highly cunning, ice-cold manipulator, because that's what her role seemed to call for.  In practice, though, I think the programme has increasingly been showing her to be an only moderately cunning and capricious manipulator who on some days would

Toastpup: ah, thanks.  Looking back at the map, I think what's confusing me is where they were heading in the first place… I guess it was the Riverlands, which is where they seem to be now?  Just feels odd as they ended up chasing the Lannisters out of Harrenhal anyway, and the most direct route to Harranhal is the

I was thinking that about this episode, but then they brought out the bear.  The same happened last episode too, come to think of it, except replacing the bear with a wall-climb and a very fun Littlefinger monologue.

Last week I was looking at the map for that bit and getting confused.  It IS a narrow strip of land, and marching on a road is obviously easier going, but there seems to be more than enough space to the east of the Twins to get an army through without promising to marry anyone.  Or have the Freys scattered lego bricks

Yeah, I hope he's coming back at least for a satisfying death.  The bear would have been a nice way to do it, but with his dudes around him with swords half-drawn it would probably not have been a good move.  I can only hope Brienne, Jaime, or both find some way to put him on the end of a pike.

Ehhhh… not convinced at all by the first half of this episode.  Plenty of time spent with wildlings wildlinging along to no great end either character- or plot-wise, Sansa being weepy (understandable, but not very interesting), Shae being angry at Tyrion (ditto), and Robb and Whatshername being coupley in a

I'm with you.  It's just not terribly interesting.

Why are the words "no spoilers" or "without spoiling anything" always followed by a spoiler?

Dikachu: it certainly motivates people to work fast and thoroughly.

What?!  I can't believe you haven't tried the ear yet!  It's… well, it's awkward and it turns out to be completely unfeasible.  But it's so damn adventurous!

Overthinker: do we know that it's actually a globe?  There's never any mention of colder weather further south, and the variable seasons suggest something odd is going on.  Alternatively it could be part of a globe about twice the size of Earth, so that the south is around the equator.

Because they like it, and disagree that it is crap.
