I think it's actually coming out of a small lull about now- this one beat last week's one for my money.  And it looks like Isaak's going to come out shooting next week, so I think they can stick a solid B+.

All of this is very true, but dammit, I still like Dexter.  I can still suspend disbelief/disengage brain enough to enjoy the wacky serial killer killing serial killers fun.

Wait, did you edit this to make yourself sound more or less dickish?  It's hard to tell.

Well, she'd already learnt that killing people can be sometimes OK.  It was a logical next step.  And more importantly, the way it came together was FUN.  I was laughing at the sheer awkwardness of Dexter's sister telling him to kill his new girlfriend (who was in bed beside him) because she killed his sister's new

I don't know, though.  It is weird how the companions basically never seem to ask 'No, really.  Who the hell are you and why do we keep flying around time and space getting into danger?'

Better to go for Aaaaaaaaaaaaace!

I could see it working with any Time Lord-related bad guy, the Master most obviously.  But obviously the Daleks have that iconicness.

Muse's Survival, of course!  Though that would never be rejected… it was just that the Olympics got to it first.

I think they were pranking the world.  The transition from the opening to the rest of the film might be one of the biggest cinematic bait-and-switches ever.

Agreed.  I think a lot of the spoofiness must be intentional- like the electric armour thing the bad guy gets into at the end, which bears a strong resemblance to the one in Stephen Chow's Bond spoof From Beijing With Love.
