which is to say, he's going to Maryland, near Baltimore! maybe chalky is Omar's great grandfather and this whole show is secretly a prequel to the wire ?

Havre De Grace is in Maryland, yo!!!
I don't think it's a drastic leap for Carol's character at all- she's become the most pragmatic character on the show and she was turning into that last season as well.
Your reviews of the Walking Dead are a perfect example of why the episode by episode way of reviewing things is totally ridiculous. For four seasons you've been making the same argument.
Perhaps it's more or less impossible to create interesting character arcs of a television medium in a zombie apocalypse. Perhaps they are slave to their fears and that essentially defines them. We've never seen an attempt at this kind of thing before, and I think you're right that it's more of a mood piece than…
Someone may have already said this, but what proof do we have that it's taking place in Fargo and not in the twin cities?
absolutely criminal that Clueless is not on here.

we don't really know- we only have walt's side of the story. and we basically bet that it's skewed through his own righteous anger.
I like the analysis of the show basically following a Shakespearean tragedy- at the end of Act Three, with the murder of Gale, the show turned a corner and went from exciting anti-hero drama to a play about good and evil.
I think though that the finale did not have him as the conflicted anti-hero. He terrifies Gretchen and Elliot into doing his bidding, who at this point I think we know really never did anything to Walt. He doesn't yet understand that his money is tainted with Hank's blood- maybe he just wants Walt Jr. to do with it…
I wrote something along these lines before reading your post, Todd, if you have time to check it out. http://andyfreeds.tumblr.com/
yall gotta do The Indian Runner by Sean Penn!
my one question, and someone please help:
we know at this point about walt's lies- and i guess he's proving that he will of course, lie to keep the system going. what else should we expect?
why do you assume the lab is in mexico?
in treatment!
hilarious stuff but…i don't see you guys doing a story combining charlie sheen and mel gibson's freakouts into one report. cramming these two guys together in the same story comes off like the headline could also be "look at these hiliarous black dudes." realistically these two stories are totally unrelated, except…
good shit. you just gave three pretty great albums very lackluster, kinda harsh reviews. what gives?
a personal favorite scene is when the "little man," i think his name is butch, wanders away from the meeting and winds up lost in chinatown. lots going on there…there's a man lost in a changing world.
