Don't let this episode be what sets your opinion. Watch the episode where Mel and her brother are fighting and Mel still tries to help Boo out with him. Mel's way cooler than this episode would lead one to believe. Same with Ginny. This episode could do with a bit of redacting. And more dancing.

They got suddenly really harsh with poor Carl. I was half expecting some anti-semitic remark tossed off casually. That was just the tone of the whole

@avclub-13d7df3c17502af69aafccc758195f96:disqus  I don't think she's supposed to be a mean girl. I think she was just written with a sense of cynical world-weariness in order to contrast with Hubbell's hopeful romanticism. As to her treatment of Truly: I think Truly started, and did more than enough up to that point

Yah, Melanie is a pretty great character. Sasha was annoying at first, but has grown on me. That Salon article linked above was really cool to read, 'cause you can totally see how the young four had very little to do with the first few episodes but have gradually come to be the other half of the show that is clearly

Is it okay that I really like this show but have never watched any of the Gilmore Girls?

The episode where Michelle and Fanny got along drinking wine was pretty good. I just hate characters that are pure road-blocks. There are people in real life that are like this. I find it is mostly really old people, like my parents. They are done changing and just get in the way. Not all old people are like this.

Yah, she's good looking and all, but… anyone remember her on Flight of The Conchords? Wasn't she shorter than Bret on that? Why does everyone on this show call her tall? She's not short, but… I don't know… is everyone on the west coast of the US just shorter?

Get your thumb out of my atlas! That's something that requires a discussion before you just shove it in there.

Not sure who has the final say on okaying the drawings, but worker safety is enforced by the province. They are… very rigid in their thinking and approach. Not saying that someone getting killed doesn't deserve a heavy response, (it most certainly does) just that my interactions with the MoL lead me to believe that
