I thought the first half of Death Proof was goddamn magical. Honestly got disappointed at the drastic change in tone that led to the second half. But then again, I have zero experience with grindhouse movies (and genuinely appreciate the explanation that some have provided for what was going on with that) and a

My favourite squad AI silliness (I just replayed in anticipation of ME2) was shooting into a wall. And not a wall the enemy was hiding behind, but the wall that my squad-mate was hiding behind. And not just a couple of shots. They'd overheat their damn gun just firing into a thing that was a foot in front of them. It

Mass Effect
Take back what you said about the levelling up! The only real downside to Mass Effect was driving the Mako around. Everything else was sweetness.

Holy crap yes to the Cardigans. I remember telling some people at a party that I had just picked up their first album, the one with Carnival, (many thanks to the Wedge for turning me on to so much good music… MuchMusic wasn't always pure garbage) and they all looked at me like I was

Saxondale…
… is freaking hilarious. Get it. Watch it. Love the shit out of it.

But I do think Zodiac is a brilliant piece of work. And I really liked The Motorcycle Diaries.

I have to say this…
No Country for Old Men is one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. I love the Coen brothers. First two thirds was great. A wonderfully suspenseful film. Then some stuff happens, sorta, and the movie ends with the old guy giving some silly monologue to the camera that sounds like it came

I actually had to stop watching for a minute because of that clock. I usually find sight gags at best mildly amusing, but they underplayed it so well that it hit me like a wall of funny. Jiminy but this show is funny.

I freaking love Toby Huss. As cool as Carnivale was, it would have been decidedly less without him. I was so hoping that he was going to become a recurring character when he first yelled down the bar. However, that seems rather unlikely now.

I would read all of the comments to see if this is a repeat, but…
I'm too drunk to give a shit, so I'll just say: how do you not get what is going on here? It seems to me like it makes perfect sense, as Will is not a regular person. He's one of them genius types. Sure, therapy works a certain way most of the time, but

… I swear there was an 'i' there when I hit 'Post'. Dammit.

Might I suggest, in addition to Metacritic, the review site MRQE? (http://www.mrqe.com/) It stands for Move Review Query Engine and, to my mind, is a much better organized and more accessible site for movie criticism. Plus, they use the word 'query', which is aces in my book!
