Agreed! This album has much more direction than the others. This seems like a lazy review that lacks direction itself. Really have enjoyed this album! I hate to say it, but the Pitchfork review got it right! Not trying to be rude, just an opinion!

I'm a Sloan fan and have come to appreciate Zeus as well, and while I agree that they do have their differences… You cannot deny the similarities as well. Especially on this album, I had flashbacks to "One chord to another" all throughout. And yes, Go see Zeus live, they put on a great show!

I agree! The songs are great, but rather than listening through them all at once, they sound even better occasionally on a playlist. I thought Carney really brought their sound to life with the added percussion and focus on catchy hooks.
