Actually TOS is the only Trek series -that was as good as it would ever get right out of the gate.. You'd be amazed how many of the legendary eps are first season. The third is where the budgets got slashed, Roddenberry split and things got dicey/overly cheesy…

Also: They had ten years folks, 1969-1979 is TEN years….
