I've seen several comments comparing the coma play to Natural Born Killers and a few other similar sequences, but to me it was most similar to an episode of a somewhat different TV show: My Name is Earl.

Speaking on behalf of all BB fans named Jeffrey, I just want to express what an honor it is for our name to be used not only as the ghost box that satisfies everyone's needs in this episode, but even more memorably as the name Tina calls her body pillow.
