I liked this ep a lot too. Schmidt continues to be the show's MVP, but everyone else is getting better at being funny, and interesting. Even perpetually sour Nick, which is possibly a good arc to take.

So Kathryn Joosten is 2 for 2 on best reasons for serie's main protagonist to deliver their best dramatic performances. At this point, producers should just hire her when they need to bait the emmys.
