Also keep in mind that the Coke back then had real sugar instead of corn syrup, so that likely changes the effect the peanuts may have.  Of course, if you can find a store that sells Mexican Coke you might be set, though the bottles (while still glass) are a little bigger than the old ones I think.

Bad, but still not as bad as Moe's bar rag.  *That* is the true worst. episode. ever. nominee.

I don't think so.  MTV burned through the episodes incredibly fast and never put them into reruns after the season ended and there's been no word since, so I strongly suspect it's dead.  *BUT* I noticed Comedy Central ran the whole season in a marathon around Xmas, so perhaps hope still remains…

Could happen via the Warner Archives DVD-R program.  I know they've released some stuff that was already issued on out-of-print regular DVDs, and I *think* some of it has been upgraded over the old versions instead of just being the same disc put onto a DVDR.

Um.  Where is there a REM reference in "Straight Outta Compton"?  What he says is "R-E-N spells Ren, so I'm raw."  Because he's MC Ren.

Y'know what, I'll totally defend "Yes Dear."  I never saw it during its original run but found it on reruns on TBS or Nick or something one day when I was too lazy to look for the remote and enjoyed it quite a bit.  Not great art or anything, but you could certainly do a lot worse as far as family sitcoms go.

Just to add a way, way too late comment, I was at a friend's birthday party this weekend and a guy who had been in prison (for reasons unknown to me) at the time of Mr. Rogers' death said that as the story made its way around the jail, virtually each and every prisoner was affected by it in some way, with a lot of

PDE would know better than me, but several years ago I was recording Simpsons repeats from Fox 11 in LA (can pick it up via DirecTV) and I'm fairly certain they did show it… but I was also taping reruns from Fox 5 in NY as well, so I could just be mixing up which channel aired it.

I think that's basically it.  Paul seems to be an *intensely* private person.  For all of his on-stage bravado, he seems to still be the shy kid who was always uncomfortable in a crowd in some ways (the picture he himself has painted of his youth).  Supposedly he's writing his own book now, but I seriously doubt he'll

Somebody was actually attempting to do this and somehow it got crushed by the KISS lawyers.  I think it was supposed to be called "Out on the Streets" and was going to be written by a roadie/tour manager/something like that who was with them from the beginning.  As far as I know it's a dead project now though.

The correct answer is "Ozone"

Not to kill a good joke, but there actually *is* a Carr biography with input from his family and others. Haven't read it, but there's some very nasty rumors around about how Gene & Paul handled his death, so if that gets addressed here it could be a good read - http://www.amazon.com/Eric-…

As far as I know the only song Ace was replaced on was "Sweet Pain," but the stories regarding *why* vary.  I believe Bob (and Gene & Paul) say that Ace refused to come to the studio because he was busy drinking and playing cards with friends, but Ace claims the story is false and that the solo he recorded was

And it's actually not Ace's song either, it's a cover of a tune by a British band named Hello.  Still, there's this cool if sloppy version performed live by the whole band in 1979 that has some charm: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

George Washington Carver died penniless and insane, still trying to play a phonograph record with a peanut, while Edward "Skippy" Williamson and Frederick "Jif" Armstrong stole his recipe and reaped untold fortunes.

Apparently nobody wishes to see that particular smile again.

I believe Peggy also had some other brothers besides from the ex-con that Thomas R mentioned, seen in the episode where she and Hank go visit her mother on her childhood ranch in Montana.

I feel like I've read somewhere that Apple (the Beatle label, not the other one) purchased the rights to the cartoon series several years ago, so they'd probably be able to put it out if they wanted to.  I wouldn't be too surprised to see it turn up sooner than later.

Both that, the Jacksons one, *and* the Beach Boys miniseries that VH1 also always plays will suck me in most any time for some damn reason.  I only wish they'd air their "The MC Hammer Story" movie again.
