I think the fact that the glove was in her furnace was supposed to indicate that she and her husband were the ringleaders, which is why Freddy would target Nancy above all the others.

The remake is an alright movie on its own, but as a remake of Nightmare, I fucking hated it.
He wrote a completed script with Bruce Wagner, but the studio didn't like it because it was considered profane and illogical. You can read their draft on one of the Nightmare websites. I think AV Club had a link to it around the time that Craven passed.
I would love to seem them finally adapt Peter Jackson's unused script for part 6. That sounds like an awesome movie.
I agree with everything you said here.
The scene where Alice goes to speak with Dan's parents feels like it's out of a real, serious movie dealing with the issues of teen pregnancies. It has a surprising amount of impact. It's a shame everything before and after it sucked.
Watching the film a few years back, I was surprised at how much of Sleepaway Camp had a gay sensibility to it.
It's interesting that they considered that Friends storyline anti-gay when the Seinfeld episode "The Outing", which is routinely praised as so progressive, is actually incredibly homophobic, and gave birth to a catchphrase that idiotic straight guys love to co-opt, which has the general subtext that other people's…
I had the same reaction reading this article. First I thought it was strange that he called it "homophobic" but then I remembered the ending as Jesse overcoming his gayness. But at the time, there were so few stories about coming out, especially ones about gay teens. So it is groundbreaking in that respect. For a…
I'm a big fan of Freddy vs. Jason too, and had my best movie-going experience seeing it on opening night (first ever midnight showing!).
Out of all the films, 2 has the most surrealist tone in terms of its direction and cinematography. Even the scenes that take place during the day feel like they're one step away from turning into dreams.
Judging from the trailer, Jack O'Connell's performance looks like it'll be included in a future Inventory of terrible American accents.
I honestly think it's Chanel No. 5. Aside from all of her close calls, Abigail Breslin was still a pretty notable actress to cast for the show in what seems to be a nothing role. There has to be a reason why they wanted her for that specific character. But, killer or not, I can't stand her character. She was just as…
"As Vanity Fair notes, that makes her 'the real-life equivalent of Downton Abbey’s Maggie Smith character.'
You guys should make "The Penis Thing" a recurring feature and tackle accidental dong slips in other classic 80's movies (like Grease 2, where it is an actual dong) and on the Little Mermaid VHS cover (a questionable, illustrated dong).
Am I the only one who isn't charmed by Kate McKinnon? She has about as much artistic range as Christine Baranski. Is she going to be a brassy lesbian in this? Or a salt-of-the-earth Sapphic stud in that? All of her impressions seem exactly the same.
Am I the only one who kind of doesn't give a shit that Jessica Lange isn't returning? It's an ensembke show, and she isn't THAT impressive as an actor. Four different roles and they were all kind of the same.
I don't know if this is the wrong thing to say, but I find it a little ghoulish that, after the star of the movie died from a reckless driving accident, they completed the movie he was shooting that fetishizes reckless driving.
I'm a little sad there wasn't one final Barb sighting. I know she became obsolete as the show changed it's premise, but damn if she didn't crack me up.
Very telenovella.
