Ah, & the frequent usage of puppets. How could I forget that? ^_^

Also for your consideration…
While it may fall unde the "intentionally wacky" category, & could be considered a bit too early to have a legacy, I would like to add Chowder (currently on the Cartoon Network) as a potential candidate as well.
HN: Yep, from what I hear, NBC has an option for an additional 9 episodes should things pay off.
"Can Hank be wrong anymore?"
Yeah, in fairness, I don't think the firefighting neighbor in that episode was a callback, since I don't remember him being in "A Firefighting We Will Go". I think it was just a general firefighter.
"Didn't she already hit big with it once? On public access?"
Well, I think you're exaggerating a bit when it comes to the quality of the other three, but yeah, I'm suprised by AD's improvement over the past season and a half or so as well. At first, my opinion of the show was just "Well, I guess it seems okay…Besides, I've watched the other three, may as well stick around for…
"But the end was the worst. Hank had witnessed Bobby actually improve at baseball. And enjoy playing it. But when he has to yank Bobby out of the game, he tells Bobby to give up on baseball altogether. Even Hank should have seen that a middle ground would have worked."
Yeah, come to think of it, why is Hank always encouraging Bobby to try out for sports like football - & always gets excited whenever he joins a team or shows interest in sports - if he knows Bobby has no athletic skills whatsoever? Hell, in this episode alone Bobby doesn't even know what a baeball glove is called…
Yep, & he also played baseball in the episode where Peggy teahces Sex Ed.
Dude, I believe South Park put it best: The Simpsons have done EVERYTHING. Seriously, twenty years worth of jokes. I think it's safe to say that all sitcoms at some point will use a gag seen in The Simpsons as well, it's not like the writers have time to look over 400+ episodes just to make sure they don't use a gag…
I don't know if "good pairing" was the proper term for that scene (I prefer "rake gag" myself), but it was still a pretty sweet Roger/Stan episode, IMO.
Nope, Toshi is like the opposite of Boomhauer: Not only do none of the characters understand him (while the audience always does via subtitles), but they more often than ever mistranslate Toshi as saying the exact opposite of what he really means (like when he mentions how Stan should be jailed for putting the boys in…
Wave: Bobby did love playing baseball…Waaay back in the show's first season. Yeah, I don't know why they suddenly decided to remember that bit now as well.
Yeah, & come to think of it, they never really resolved that part of the story. Hank just threatens Bill once, & then poof, he's gone for the episode.
