I think the main reason there are so many main characters is that each one will get killed off at the end of each season, giving another murder and one less character for the writers to juggle.

The "Cake's helping!" line definitely served to highlight how little Cake (and Jake) had to do with the plot

I can also see that happening. LSH doesn't do much in the books so maybe D&D are sparing us/showwatchers to agony of seeing how cold she's gotten

I expected LSH to show up but I think I always knew it would be Arya to close the season. It's more heartwarming (like Mysha's ending was supposed to be) and still gets people excited for what's to come. LSH would have caused a HUGE frenzy and show watchers probably wouldn't be able to wait 40 weeks.

She probably had no idea. The prison sirens were for her. I think she thought it was vendor truck or something

She did! The whole reason she wouldn't shower was because she didn't want to face the degradation. She broke down when she was forced to strip and shower. Not as bad as Piper but I think everyone mentioned Piper made a quite a splash when she first arrived

I thought that scene added more to Taystee than Vee.

Last season, there was a shot that framed Fig getting a call asking about the prison budget while she was right by her shiny, fancy car.

Brook is the worst. Is she is the suburbs, because she doesn't look "full Asia," or is she somewhere else? Where do "The Others" (like Chang and the Golden Oldies) dorm anyway?

I found Vee a terrible villain because that's all she was. OITNB backstories usually bring nuance and another side to characters but Vee's backstory only proved she always has been a self serving villain.

They don't have jobs. Larry is an out of work writer, unless he can exploit Piper's predicament. Polly used to have an artisanal candle business but gave it up when Piper went to jail and the baby arrived.

Larry is the worst. He basically plans to steal another writer's story. Ugh.

Wasn't too happy about Tony. The hair/makeup wasn't the great and the rough voice was just… awkward. I know a lot of fans wanted a trans character (I've seen press videos where Tatiana answered questions exactly about this) so I hope the writers didn't just write Tony in to appease a few fans.

This is like your Castle reviews all over again. I get you don't like the show but you could at least TRY to give a decent review. Or at least pay attention to the episode.

I think it was the hair and makeup. 2013 Mellie is much more done up and more vigilant about her looks

The tag had Raj on a date with a beautiful girlfriend, who he can't believe is single. He basically shouts he's okay with being the other man if that's what she wants. The date yells at Penny, Penny yells at Raj, Raj yells at his mirror. Oh, the date was also Indian so another subtle moment of racism from Penny.
