Starburns: best background extra turned character since Snoop Dogg intern?

I agree on all counts, McZombie. The time where it's most obvious is Lick it for $10, a bit that should either be childish or lascivious (and a true genius of the medium would make it both), but with Jimmy is just awkward.

The extended plotlines are just the barest frame upon which major insanity is draped. Binging on an entire season at once is the perfect way to get a lot of the more intricate absurdities.

I find being super drunk usually devolves into just saying "Okay" a lot.

McNulty
I'm counting this entire episode as a The Wire/Friday Night Lights crossover.

Dynamic? Yes. Talented? No. Last season was marked by some serious deadwood, and even at the top10 there were still contestants who I was blah about. As a competetion, this season has been marred by the fact that I basically just want contestants to stop getting cut, and the top10 format (2 dances per couple, plus a

Stupidity
No mention of the obvious parallel between Penny trying to learn physics and Leonard trying to learn football? Both taught by Sheldon, even.

AND THEN THAT WOMAN LEFT HIS SHOW FOR MOVIE ROLES.

Mary will start commenting on solos next week, when the top 10 start soloing on performance night and the judges give them feedback. Nigel is always the one who tells people who's cut or not, it's been his thing from the beginning.

I'm much less emotionally attached to the show after I got much too attached to Jeanette last season. Now I've learned to just hope for exceptional numbers no matter which couple it comes from.

The opening number made me think "Wow Wade is really off his game tonight" then I found out it was a NapTab routine …

He's also quite possibly the best b-boy that's ever been on the show. The speed and ease that he goes into his floor work is just amazing. And Nigel was right that his Jazz routine showed the most musicality he's ever had.

The moment the Hot Tamale Train goes AV and gets animations that race across the screens, I'm done.

On the subject of speech impediments
I'd love to see the Kripke character expanded by having his lisp turn out to be an antagonism superpower. Specifically, that all anyone can think of to try and insult him about is his impediment (which, of course, is off limits). You could have scenes of Sheldon working on a

I almost think the boredom of the L/P pairing is (almost) a strong point. It sounds weird, but I think the only way for the writers to finally drop the pretense of sexual chemistry between Leonard and Penny is for them to start sleeping together regularly.

The huge difference in comments on this show vs, say, Friday Night Lights shows that sometimes there's more to say about a show that sucks than there is about a show that's great.

Coach Taylor lied about the $3k check because he was hoping to float the check on booster money. It is a very real way people can get in very big trouble.

Good call, Yee. I totally forgot the Of Mice and Men plotline!

Riggins
I really hope the writers manage to do more with Tim Riggins through the season. Looking back on the last two seasons, it's remarkable how passive Riggins has been. All his drive has come from external forces: first trying to put himself into the dreams he had come up with for Street, then just trying to get

Riggins has turned out to be an enormously satisfying part of FNL. He'll stop his buddy from wasting money and risking his life on some Mexican stem cell hooey, but he'll do it using a booze cruise. It's beautiful.
