The Jurassic Park soundtrack was one of my first CDs and I still listen to it.  Awesome score.

21st Amendment's Hell or High Watermelon is surprisingly great. I went in expecting an overwhelming sweetness, like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, but it wasn't like that at all.  The watermelon flavor is almost an accent on the beer. Definitely a great go-to beer for summertime.

Sounds like someone whose name you think is "Shredder" is about to get his ass kicked.

Didn't he cover Foo Fighters during his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance?

I would love it if Moshe Kasher was a permanent guest on Who Charted.  He was hilarious and has awesome chemistry with Howard and Kulap.

That was great for both the implied upcoming rumble and for GrownMan314's oblivious interjection.

This episode is where I got on board with Lapkus.  The character didn't really have much to her, but she still sold it and made it enjoyable to listen to.  I was on the fence, but after this episode I am firmly on Team Lapkus.

I think she provides a framework and keeps the show moving forward, I just don't think she's that funny.  But I'm sure I'm in the minority and like I said, I actually appreciated seeing her doing the show.

I watched the VPN Who Charted and while I still don't think Kulap is funny or adds that much to the show these days, I do appreciate how hard she is trying.

Thursday's live CBB was great, if for no other reason than the following exchange:
Scott: Did someone bring in a cricket noise maker?
Jesse "The Mind" Venture: No, that's real sound of comedy failing.

Oh bummer. I'm actually quite disappointed to hear that about Rhizing Bines. I'm less enthused about popping open the bottle now.

I actually really enjoyed my Enjoy By 4-1-13.  I was sort of skeptical because a) I haven't liked their Vertical Epic series, so brews by them with dates made my spidey-sense tingle and b) the idea of a relatively quickly self-destructing IPA didn't conjure hope.  But it was good.  In fact, one the better IPAs I've

Thanks, everyone.  Sounds like The City & The City or Perdido Street Station is the way to go.

Sort of an aside, but this seems a logical place to ask this question: If I were to start reading Mieville's novels, which one is the best to start with?

I think I'd agree with them if it ended up in The Rest.  It was a meh episode and no Killer Joe talk. I would be very interested to hear her thoughts on shooting that final scene.  But instead, it's basically an hour of cat talk.

That's another thing I appreciate about most Beck albums: the bonus noise. You think you're done with an album and then boom! It sounds like your CD player is trying to poop out a blender.

It's The Devil Went Down to Georgia for our generation!

@avclub-75e43c12ef9f1cfdaeae92ca6fa90640:disqus Yeah, everyone and their brother has a blog at this point, but I decided that I didn't care and started up one of my own two years back.  If nothing else, it keeps me writing, even if it's just about beer.  It's actually kind of fun to try to come up with different ways

That whole album is pretty trippy.  I have to be in a very particular mood to listen to it.  But Satan Gave Me a Taco still gets plenty of plays.

I love the last track on Midnight Vultures, Debra.  That's a sexy tune.  I tried to get my now-wife to agree to it as our first dance song at our wedding, but I didn't win that one.
