Rebel Yell is a great song.  And Steve Stevens was a pretty awesome guitarist.  So I think you're ok to say that.

I've only read Richards' memoir so I can't say which of the two is better, but you wouldn't be worse off for reading Life.  That book was fun, well-written, and surprisingly peppered with moments of insight that acknowledged the Keith Richards of lore and belied it.  Good read.

Nope. There's no discernable rhyme or rhythm to when …To Live is to Die ends and Dyer's Eve begins, at least as far as I can tell, so I find myself trying to anticipate the scare and pretty much always miss it.

@google-57b3fed69211a7e4ceafeec264fdf261:disqus I'm in the throes of that now. I just listened to (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth, am currently listening to Call of Ktulu, and moseying my way to the other two.  I'll even throw Suicide & Redemption in there, as it's not a bad entry in the instrumental ranks.

Picture books. I read picture books.

To Live is to Die is an awesome instrumental. To this day, whenever I pick up an acoustic guitar I play that acoustic breakdown section to see if the guitar is in tune.

Agreed.  Hetfield's lyrics have more "Ooh yeah"s than the Kool-Aid Man at this point.  I miss the days of Disposable Heroes lyrics.  But for the most part I'm still a Metallica fan/apologist.  They haven't squandered their good credit with me, despite how hard Lulu tried.

So…nothing about the book?

Oh good.  I was starting to get tired of people only picking on everything after the Black Album.

I was surprised at how much I liked Trick r Treat. It has become one of my go-to movies for Halloween.  I would be excited for an anthology approach to that one.

So am I alone in thinking that Key and Peele aren't particularly funny? They seem like really nice people based on their WTF episode, but their CBB appearance was kind of a dud for me.  Maybe they're just not improvisers?  I haven't seen their Comedy Central show yet, so maybe their strength is in written sketches,
