I just realized how much better Dice was in Blue Jasmine than Louie.  Leagues better.  That's insane.

If you equate punk with experimentation or opposing entrenched beliefs, nah, not so punk.  On the other hand, Green Day had a long history in the bay area scene, so if punk means the right place at the right time, then yeah those mo'fos are punk as hell.

At the risk of being controversial, I find her rebellious attitude and punk rock affectations to be somewhat inauthentic.

With this and the Social Network and what I presume was the barely concealed Nietzschean undertones of her Disney Network show, Brenda Song's practically made a cottage industry out of fulfilling racist stereotypes.

Because they're unimaginative, lowbrow and formulaic with some contemporary political references sprinkled in to suggest they're satirical?

Awesome.  I remember seeing their name on a spate of releases in the 90s.  Always seemed like a mythical place.  I'm sure this documentary will restore it to human proportions and suck the fun and mystique out of yet another childhood wonder.
