I'm not sure how much the potential for cancellation affected the arc of this story…
I understand that they're pressed for time to wrap up the story arc, but we could have been given build-up snippets of this reveal in just one or two scenes last week.

@d.lo I agree that we could do more as consumers to stop the bullshit, but there are a lot of people who don't have viable options other than driving if they want to keep their jobs.

My theory was/is, we went to war in part to make oil MORE expensive. Also, most of the price increases have more to do with over-speculation in the futures market, as opposed to the bullshit "increased demand from India and China" line the oil companies keep pushing.

I was always irritated by the false framing put forward by a lot of media figures during the build-up and invasion of Iraq. Basically, one side loved America and freedom, and the peaceniks were endorsing Saddam Hussein's reign somehow.

That's a good question. Also, it really often seems to boil down to whether network execs like a show or not. Conan's Tonight Show was pulling respectable numbers online, but NBC decided the Matlock demographic was the one to pursue and foisted Jay back upon us.

Honestly, I don't really watch enough TV to justify it. For a guy with a videography degree, I actually consume very little media. I'm much more of a reader and Internet addict.

@detective daughter, and tossin,

Fox.com is actually how I caught a good chunk of the 2nd season, when my wife "accidentally" stopped Fringe from recording every week for two months straight because it interfered with one of her 400 Bravo shows or Project Top Runway or some shit.

I've been so pumped for Fringe's return
I work a crappy job on Friday nights, so I won't get to watch the show live. But I've been DVRing it forever anyway because my wife is usually watching something else. I watched it as soon as I woke up and it was an awesome episode. I am consistently impressed with the

One of the better episodes this season
I loved the "Scooter is the AquaMan of the Muppet Babies" line. Raj is very underutilized on this show.

Maybe FX could pick up the Good Guys
I know there are a lot of Terriers fans in the Good Guys forums that shit on the show and say that Terriers is better and we should have watched Terriers instead, but maybe FX could fill Terriers's slot with The Good Guys.

It was a lot more malleable when we first met.

I would have watched this show
My wife generally controls the TV with an iron fist, so I honestly don't watch that much TV. I basically watch Fringe, Big Bang, The Good Guys, and occasionally catch Conan or the Daily Show when she's fallen asleep. With that said, I would have gladly added Terriers to the DVR if I

Josh Malina "Not that good of an actor"
I saw Josh Malina give a talk at Kent State where he talked about practical jokes between him and Bradley Whitford on The West Wing. There was a line in one episode (directed by Whitford) where he said something to the effect of "I'm a terrible actor." It was a nice inside

But seriously, I do remember Anne Hathaway doing an appearance on SNL as Mary Poppins and implying that all of the Poppins catchphrases were venereal diseases. It was pretty ribald. Portman hasn't really done anything to make me think she has comedy chops.

I'd Anne her Hathaway
And I'd think about Portmanning her Natalie.

Here would be a great spot for a gerbil fact.

Cleveland actually has a beautiful skyline, especially coming in from the Shoreway and having the lake on the other side. A lot of things suck here, but we do have a beautiful skyline.

Neil Fucking Young
Neil Young let them be his backup band. You can't suck and play with Neil. End of story.

I hope this show stays on the air
I was worried they were going to do a tribute to Turner & Hooch by giving Colin Hanks a dog. Speaking of which, I wonder if we'll ever get Tom Hanks on as a guest star. It seemed to me like Jack and Uncle Nate were implying that Jack's parents are dead; perhaps they will come into
