@bakana42:disqus Thanks, I really don't need your advice on how to comport myself on a meaningless comment board. If I have strong opinions to vent about characters, I'll state them, and the conformist 'troll' censors can just fuck themselves. Yay, First Amendment!

What about giving head to Jon Voight's Joe Buck in the Times Square theater in Midnight Cowboy? Dammit, AV, know your Balaban.

Yes, schmuck, just skim past my praise of Pete, Ormond, the Roger-Ginsberg scene,  the locales, the lighting, the analysis of the show's writing and imagery, and you just get simplistic hate.

@inko8:disqus Is that the same acid people take to make Joan appear a fascinating, multi-dimensional character?

@bakana42:disqus  I already did state a well-thought case about Joan, remarking how her outbreaks of tearful sympathy for Lane post-suicide were incongruous with a character who has been presented until then as completely, coldly concerned with her own issues and well-being. But people just came back with the tired,

But how much of those visuals will you actually remember, other than the shocks of Roger getting head, Lane hanging, or the obvious symbolism of Don staring down an elevator shaft or strangling old girlfriends in a dream sequence?  Even the imagery became more about soap operatic titillation than the subtle power

I'm cutting back on my comics buying, but the Court of Owls installements I've read are genuinely spooky (silent, regenerating killers). If they reboot Batman for the movies after Nolan's run (which, let's face it, will probably be by 2014), they should use this as a storyline.

You're a sucker for many things, Devin.
