Kattan need work. Make Peepers happen.

January Jones general absence from the show this season is the most tolerable thing of all.

Lane's already cheated on his wife twice and tried to lure a woman by holding onto a wallet. Why is this pervert suddenly so much better than Pete?

Isn't Lane the guy who's had a couple affairs AND tried to snare a woman by holding onto a stray wallet?

He could've cut the sandstorm chase, but otherwise it was top-notch (and Ratatouille was a masterpiece. Hail animators who can make it in live action!).

Mamet always gets relatives and spouses good gigs (i.e. the career of Rebecca Pidgeon).

Fuck entitled film festival darlings and their HBO deals.

Well, really just guitar (an untrained nine-year old could do a better job on piano, harmonica, organ and bass).

MA II not as strong, though Remember The Mountain is epic.

I want my wedding song to be "California Stars."

The driving school incident with Pete really nailed those 'youngish guy's encounter with girl makes him realize he's passing a threshold' situations, the girl humoring his advances until someone her own age comes along.

The claim that the Velvets 'changed everything' is a bit overstated - the middle eastern drone of the  Stones 'Paint It Black' and especially the dank textures of 'Have You Seen Your Mother Baby'  pretty much laid the groundwork for whatever the Velvets explored later

@CyberneticOrganism:disqus Well, at least you really dug beneath the surface and gave it a shot ("Der, 'Mad Men?' Why would I watch a show about guys just screaming all the time?")

And Michael Jackson was still the biggest pop star at this point, btw.

SO hilarious when Warren Beatty stands behind her in her dressing room, puts his hands on her shoulders, does a brief shake of the head, and walks away.

The AV shouldn't be such a sycophant to ratings. The Killing is turning out to be compulsively watchable this season, the lead detective's ex-methhead partner turning in a remarkable brooding performance. Completely deserving of sharing the same night as Mad Men.

Well everyone knows if it doesn't get the Lurky seal of approval, it is most certainly doomed.

Five seconds of January Jones; that's an episode done right in any book.
