He's produced several films and is close friends with a number of show runners in Hollywood, which is alot more than your nothing ass ever accomplished.

According to my San Fran film school professor, a studio assistant wrote most of Juno, and Cody took credit, so I wouldn't blame her for the fall-out.

How 'bout Unsubtle Anti-Semitism?

Have the name - The Moody Jews - now just need the members (Lou Reed? Bob?)

Because the AV's design of replying to a post below one's comment with one above it makes no sense.

@mythagros
No, but since this is the most promoted book in the mainstream, it is the only book readers will likely read for their 'Jewish' niche. People go for what's easiest to find. It's not like Barnes & Noble has a section dedicated to Jewish comics. Maus is the only one placed prominently next to big holiday buys,

Again, it's not the creator's religion, but the subject matter. Does Eisner's Contract With God have even a fraction of the attention Spiegelman is getting this season with the reissue of Maus?  He's coopted the entire market, as if the Jewish identity begins and ends

Yes, and Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and…it's not Jewish creators I'm talking about, it's about comics with Jewish subject matter. Spiegelman has limited the horizons to hiding in the Holocaust, and everyone's followed him there.

@Ellsworth. The real Alaska IS so hostile - read my other posts about it, that's my fucking point. And when a guy insults me like "the colonel" did, you bet your ass I respond in kind. Let's see you 'get over it' when someone takes personal shots at you.

Sort of like yours, right, Colonel? Except remove "playwright" and replace "was" with "is and will be."

Question with a question:

No, just Jewish people who weren't Art Spiegelman. Nice to meet you.

But the human condition in NE is nothing like it's actually expressed by the exhausted residents of Alaska.  Just be honest and set it in a fucking coffeehouse in Olympia.

Cicely is the vision of Alaska by people who never left a Timberline store in Pike's Place Market.

Manara, good spank stuff. Barks was a real journeyman, glad his work is recognized as the vast tapestry it is.  Have to read the new Herge biography - supposedly collarborated with the Nazis, a true bitter asshole, like the best cartoonists.

No Moonlight Mile? "Sound of strangers bringing nothin' to mah mind/ just another mad, mad day on the ro-ah-od…"  Quinessential song of tour exhaustion (Torn & Frayed more about the guitarist being a junkie).

Isn't this some lost Gorillaz promo?

I saw Morrow in the winter of '02 around Union Square, looking very bitter - so I guess what goes around comes around.

Yeah, like the Wire and All In The Family were pure escapism. That's all that tv, or Alaska at least, should represent.

Oh, are you shutting me down now? Thank you, designated AV moderator. Go fuck yourself.
