Another show I hit was about a decade ago was Death Cab for Cutie. I think it was about the time that The Photo Album had come out and I actually really enjoyed that and "We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes." I was also somewhat excited for the opener: The Long Winters. I had started listening to them because Sean

I, too, enjoyed that rant a great deal.

Back when Coldplay's Parachutes came out my wife was an instant fan… me, not so much. I found them incredibly derivative and I'd rather listen to the Britpop acts whose catalogs in which I was already entrenched. When they came to Denver, she really wanted to go; I didn't protest because Grandaddy was the opener: I

Has Nelson's publicist been to a marijuana shop in Colorado? …when it comes to quality, they're all like fucking Whole Foods. It's not like these guys are selling stems, seeds and sticks.

When you say "Fat Val Kimler" I'm assuming that you mean Pete Holmes.

You can always do a mustard or vinegar based potato salad.

Any time a Denver raised or based stand-up makes it to the national stage, I can't help but smile. It's always great to see TJ Miller in anything… I don't plan to see Trans4mers in the theater but I'm happy to see him in and he's been in the funniest cell phone commercials on record recently. Seeing the Grawlix crew's

Looks to me like there's a liberal with a sense of humor in the graphics department.

What are you talking about? Weezer is one of the best bands that ever broke up after putting out only two albums: they're just ahead of the Toadies.

Technically they did: Matt Sharp left the band between those albums. That dude was the soul of the band.

I didn't realize that: I actually have a copy with the sample intact.

As far as I know he lives in Ohio (I think around Dayton). I think he lives on his parents farm or something along those lines. I have a former coworker that has a place back there and he periodically sees Dave at one of the locally watering holes.

I'm with Erik on this one, a Ben Folds musical would be ideal. I've always thought that it would make for a great marriage and then I came across "The Secret Life of Morgan Davis" when Rockin' the Suburbs came out. That take on a show-tune style song sealed it for me and I've been patiently waiting ever since.

Chapelle is no slacker: he's come to Denver twice since last November and did 10+ shows both times. Sets were no slouch either: about an hour of prepped material and and hour of riffing. He also talked about leaving CS at one of the shows I was at so he's willing to talk about it, just not with fans that are being

Ron Funches is on Undateable so it's at least worth checking out for him. Saw his stand-up last week and dude is amazing.

Yeah, a good number of the filler arcs are annoying but some have been better than passable. The thing is, when the show is on, it hits hard. I can make it through the sub-par episodes if it means that I get to watch the stellar ones that follow.

I'm pretty sure that Naruto is very suited to 35-year old men, because, well… yeah. I've always been a sucker for the themes of teamwork, dedication and resilience so there's almost no way I can't like that show.

I love this album but ..MM Food got more play at my house. The series of instrumentals on that one just hooked me.

Jesus Christ this album is a decade old.

Fuck yes! I've considered myself a Cameron Esposito fan since I saw her do a set at a Grawlix show here in Denver (I think while she was moving out to LA). Also, Put Your Hands Together is an awesome podcast.
