In response to the first post, I'm absolutely loving this season. It hasn't had a single episode that outright stunk. If the script is weak, like in 'Daleks' or 'Vampires' the cast elevates the material and makes it watchable.

I was shocked, totally shocked, that The Doctor let the kid run off. This Doctor seems smarter and more alert than Tennant's, but he loses his train of thought more easily.
Well there's the budget cuts, and I'm getting the vibe that the writers see the monsters of the week as an obligation that gets in the way of their characters. I'm fine with the new paradigm.
@ Texasannie "Reading about it messes me up a little bit"
I've always kind of wondered if the critique of West Wing as smug was fair. I can't imagine people in the situation to change policy and the lives of every single person in the entire world do it with ironic detachment.
I'm inclined to take the text of the story over cast interviews. I see it as more The Doctor's interpretation of what Rory wants, and The Doctor knows what Rory's going to say before Rory does.
Yes Sound of Drums and the Last of the Timelords sucked, but Martha finally got to accomplish something on her own. Martha's story made those episodes almost worth it for me.
I agree. Phodreaw. This episode said a lot about everybody in the context of a Star Trek the Next Generation type dream episode. Only the STNG episodes said little about the characters, and only existed so you could kill main characters on screen without consequences.
Oh, but the Old People in the dream were an ancient proud race that had taken to preying on humans to stay young.
Thanks. We're awesome.
The explanation was by far the least important part of the episode. This isn't hard sci-fi or a technical manual. Psychic Anal beads are just what they needed to get to the story they wanted to tell. Buffy, Star Trek, Lost, Star Wars, and all the other big science fiction franchises do the same thing.
Yeah, I got it too that it was somehow The Doctor. The line "Only one person in the universe hates me as much as you do." Gave it away for me.
Can we remove the above posts?
You're supposed to. She's never a likable character.
Doesn't require response but,
I'm a bit jealous of all those of you out there that are watching Angel's second season for the first time. It's one of the most thoughtful character drama's I've ever seen. The writing staff is in the zone for this season. Every action means something, and ties into the emotional arc…
"I picked you because you needed this island as much as it needs you."
I don't think Hurley would trade weapons for hostages, or bust unions, devalue the dollar, deregulate industry to the detriment of the people he swore to lead, or create runaway inflation.
The Smoke Monster was using and moving the cabin when he needed to manipulate Locke. In the time of Ben's leadership, Jacob was never there at all. Ben was just as surprised as Locke when shit started flying around the room.
My guess above is that it's what caused the timey-wimey distortions that messed up pregnancies on the island, and that it was Jacob that was pulling them back and forth through time after the wheel was reset.
The island is floating on an electromagnetic/exotic matter cushion generated by the light. It doesn't connect to the Earth's crust. That's how it can be moved.
