You don't even need to roll for fellatio. Most of the GMs who stat out HBO people give you a success if you show them where it says on your sheet that you own your own kneepads.

Why the diaresis/umlaut over the A? Should I be pronouncing it like "arsehole"?

I just find them really boring, and not too well designed, honestly?

I think people conflate "casual games" for the most part with "freemium" games, and that's not particularly fair. I think we need to get the games that are only nominally free way the hell away from the games industry, but casual games can become a nice gateway to harder fare, as well as being fun games in their own

"GOT ENOUGH RED TAPE TO CHOKE A HORSE AND I WONDER WHY I'M DOIN' IT. THIS IS MY SALAD THIS IS MY SALAD THIS IS MY SALAD" Huh…that works, too…

Marley was singing "I sat in sherbert" anyway, though, right? That's how that song goes?

Sermon by Ed Schrader's Music Beat. Awesome to see it done live.

And also a Chevrolet movie theater.

Yeah, it's gonna take me a while to get through my own log at the moment.

Best Onscreen Use of Lloyd Kaufman, Guardians.

I'm interested to know which books of Murakami's give you that sense. I think he gets a little French New-Wave in places with the long takes, static scenes, and meandering conversations, but I don't think I'd describe him as "listicalized" the way you put it. My point of entry, and I'm not sure how well it would work

High Wizardry was the one with Nita's sister whose name I'm not quite sure how to spell and her MacBook copy of The Book. And the egg aliens and stuff like that. I didn't read that one, I was trying to collect the whole series in one kind of edition because I got book 2 in that, and then they vanished before I could.

My favorite new book I read this year is probably Wolf in White Van, though given my past history and the main character's past history, it probably hit way too close to home and that's why I liked it.

Okay, what's the best way to get into David Mitchell? I tried starting with Number 9 Dream and quickly lost interest.

I'm gonna just have to say this here: Pynchon and Murakami…it's not you, but it's not them, either. I look at them as kind of the literary version of Dwarf Fortress. There are people who will click with them immediately and vault the barrier of entry like it's nothing. There are people who will need a little time and

I actually have more of a soft spot for the first one because of the story revolving around my favorite character, Fred the White Hole. I think the thing I love the most about that series, though, is that everyone's favorite book in it is different. Though I don't know anyone who really dug Abroad and the later books

…sooo…Fluke: Or I Know Why The Winged Whale Sings, then?

Or it's possible they just knew people like that. That's part of the reason I got off on the wrong foot with the book.

And just like that, you give me reason to pick up the other books in the series. Thank you, Cookie Monster.
