'I'm a daddy and I'm a bear. I'm a daddy bear.'
'I'm a daddy and I'm a bear. I'm a daddy bear.'
I like the songs on the Future records, but his voice does nothing for me. I can't put him up there with the best in hip-hop because I feel like it could be anyone reciting those lyrics.
I can hear some Kim Deal (though without that cool, hushed quality Deal has) and also a higher Kay Hanley. I find her vocals fine, but I guess I can see how others might not like it.
I'm opposite of you: Pure Heroine hooked me right away and was something I listened to on a loop for weeks; Melodrama has taken more time and I keep forgetting to go back to it.
Don't put the cup in you mouth!
The Girlpool album has been one of my favorites. It helps that it's not too long, but I like how they've progressed from their last album.
It's pretty sophisticated for a Top Forty song (low bar to clear). Obviously it borrows very heavily from '80s synth pop and New Wave, but it's a complete song with actual chorus and bridge (and even has a coda) - I've been playing the hell out of it. I was not into Paramore before (besides liking the song from…
Not sure about the album yet, but 'Hard Times' is up there for Single of the Year for me.
I guess 'rare' is relative in this case. There are usually a few great front-to-back albums a year, sometimes only one or two. I wouldn't consider it rare, but if you are someone who reviews music for a living and listen to hundreds of albums every year, yeah, maybe you would see it as rare.
I didn't notice her voice being weird or off-putting, but maybe I just listen to a lot of singers like that.
Oh jeez, you just reminded me I haven't had pastitsio in years.
I thought Little Big Lies had some excellent music choices, it helped that one of the roles was a little girl obsessed with music. The Janis Joplin (technically Big Brother?) picks were especially good since you rarely get anything of hers beyond 'Bobby McGee' or 'Piece of my Heart' on TV/radio.
I've been hearing that song more lately and I think it's because of the show. I like the song and the pick for the scene, though lyrically it's not the best fit.
My freezer is so small I can barely pack anything into it. I have a bag of peas, coffee grounds, ice, and the same package of Pepperidge Farm frozen phyllo dough that follows everyone around from house to house.
Huh, I had never heard of a loco moco before. At first, your comment made me think about Salisbury Steak, something I haven't thought about in decades maybe.
I have a grinding attachment for my stand mixer that I planned to make sausage with, but then my doctor put me on a strict diet and sausage kind of factored less in my life so I only ever used it once. Maybe I should think about grinding my own beef for my next cook-out (cheat day!) and do a comparison with…
80/20 is a must for burgers. Other ratios will work for other uses like meatballs or sauces (something that has other liquids in it, essentially), but I find a burger needs all that fat, especially if it's going to be cooked on a grill.
He actually probably would've had more success with an Indiana Jones spoof, but I personally love Spaceballs, so I'm not complaining.
The very same thing happened to me. When I watch it now, it's not as funny, but I think not knowing what was coming the first time is what made it so great. One of the best examples of an ensemble of people all being funny at the same time.
Stromboli can be made using pizza dough. The real difference is that stromboli is rolled and not folded and calzone traditionally include ricotta cheese.
