Submitted for your approval: Noel Murray, average-sized pop culture critic, picks ten definitive episodes of "The Twilight Zone".  Little does he know that there's an eleventh episode, one that he's never seen, and its contents will decide whether he will live forever or die…

I sometimes visit Gay Town, I'm allowed to do that!

I used to walk twenty miles through Brooklyn to hear Owl City in a basement bar.

Why do you hate comedy?

I didn't know that.  But now I do.

See, to them, you're just a timeline.  Like me!

She's only 19 days older than me, which according to Canadian tradition means she is my soul horse.

I Wanna Rock Your Body ('Til The Break of Dawn)

I just bought this version, though I have yet to watch it.  Just saw the original on the Criterion DVD last year and loved it, though maybe I should find that copy again to get whatever's missing from this one.  Also, that kid's face was right in that girl's crotch.

Just watched Barry Lyndon, and despite the sometimes onerous length, that's a goddamn beautiful film.  I saw The Duellists many years ago on DVD, and I still love that ending.  Don't remember much else except that I did not like Scott's first short film.

Seems like everyone is just now seeing this short.  Not to be an insufferable hipster, but I saw it in the theater of the weekend Wreck-It Ralph came out.

You mean Boogiepop Phantom?  Unless we're going by the Japanese pronunciation, but yes, that show is nearly as strange as Serial Experiments Lain.  That was a weird time on TechTV.

Excellent list.  Code Geass, despite being one of my favorite anime, does have some silly humor and fan service that could upset more limited sensibilities.

Go with something light and easy if you're too daunted with anime.  The serial nature of shows can be a problem, but not with your "girls doing nothing" or "high-school comedy".  They can be good, especially with lesbians.

I still haven't picked up Breaking Bad again since finishing the second season.  It's so brilliant that I can't bring myself to acknowledge that it exists and that I didn't make it.

I gave up on One Piece after the first episode.  And this is from someone who watched the original Inuyasha and still watching Bleach.  Anime is at least wide enough to accommodate small obsessions.

He's barely fat now.  Not even heart disease wants him.

You need all three…to be funny.
