I'm pretty sure he wasn't at a conference. I think he was in the Pine Barrens in an RV cooking meth.

Has anyone ever written a biography of Donald "Duck" Dunn? It seems like whenever you read a book about the music or comedy scenes of the '60s and '70s, he shows up at some point. (Usually the point when there's a lot of coke around, in fact.) I'd love to get his point of view on those years and all the people he knew.

So, Emma finds across Kathryn's car in a ditch, with the airbag deployed and her first thought is "maybe she hitchhiked the rest of the way to Boston" instead of "she's wandering in the woods with a concussion."

I've always thought that Dax was assigned to DS9 mostly to keep Sisco relatively stable, and secondarily to help out with diplomacy and First Contacts.

I think a better rhyme would be "Hu-mons" with "Her Mons."

To come full circle on Blind Willie McTell, look up Dying Crapshooter's Blues, to see what Blind Willie McTell himself did with the melody to St. James Infirmary.

I love the fact that as you said "the most unequivocal, honest song he ever wrote" is, I 'm pretty sure a passive-agressive bitch-slap full of seething resentment and spite.

There was a New York Times obituary that had been in the can long enough that the bylined author had died before the subject.

Character shmaracter. I really just want the fishnets.

If they get around to introducing Black Canary, I'll tune in, just for the costume.

I love that shot of the wormhole opening too.

I'm still not convinced that Alexander Siddig and James Callis are actually separate people.

DS9 is my least favorite Star Trek theme (given that Enterprise's opening credits were completely silent.) I found them boring and unmemorable. Especially if you compare them to the rising bombast of Babylon 5's theme music.

Like in the back seat of a Volkswagon?

That's not fair. I'm sure Mark Gruenwald noticed and cared about them too.

Anti-sandwiches are bread surrounded by meat and cheese.

I wonder what we'd call spam.

I don't know. If the Sheriff were dating the Mayor, it's one thing for him to "sleep over" sometimes. But given that they seem to be Secret Fuck Buddies, a) letting Henry know seems kind of sleazy, and b) it's pretty counterproductive to the "Secret" part. Not that climbing out of the window was any smarter.

Except for Finn, who can't express feelings that way either.

Wasn't the original "Don't Stop Believing" cover just a rip-off of Petra Haden's?
