Not bad.
Bale's performance as Dickie Eklund was pretty damn spot on.

It just has to be said…
Before my sentiments on this movie I just have to get this out. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I'm so sick and tired of the lame old "why did you go in expecting a great story? It's just for the visuals/ride!" as if any criticism of a movie's narrative structure is automatically…
One thing I have to hand to WoW…
…is that I really like how Blizzard seems to put in an effort to make the players feel like they're a part of a living, constantly changing world and mythology with stuff like this. I don't play WoW at the moment and haven't much but a lot of MMO's I have played tend to feel like…

Bro love denied.
This is definitely one of those episodes that I think of when I think that it was a lot more than just age and nostalgia that make these episodes so much better than what currently comes out.
Bruce was an exception he was great, but I meant more the villains.
thanksgiving with the hobos
Definitely agree that it was a really sincere episode. Some used to the Simpsons being more shenanigans-filled probably wouldn't like it or maybe not get it, but episodes like this kind of defined why we should give a damn about these characters I think.
bart gets hit by a car
This episodes' very name is one of the funniest sight gags in this season.
I love this one.
Whenever someone tells me that the show is "as good as it's always been", this has always been one of the episodes that immediately comes to mind to directly contradict that. There are -some- things that are there to enjoy in newer episodes yeah, but it's just not capable of this level of quality and…
Uhg don't remind me. I love this show so much and I try to watch it every chance I get but it's obviously not enough.
More like Shwarbage
I rather liked Batman Beyond. There is definitely some stuff that could have been done a bit better such as the lack of an overall focus or more of the powerful character psychology that made/makes so much of Batman TAS so good but it was still a very interesting idea and a lot darker a show than I…
Brohood
I'm a big fan of this series. I love the idea of mixing history…much of which is real, with some more fantastic or out of this world elements. It's just fun to me, and in its own way makes that history kind of exciting in a whole new light when its used as a backdrop like this, even if it gets pretty crazy.
I think a lot of people underestimated or overlooked how necessary the camping scenes in the story were. I still think maybe they did stretch a -bit- too long in some respects, but in general it was necessary to illustrate that the three were in various ways leaving their child selves behind.
…although I have to add that it was pretty nice to see Burns be all evil again even if for a little bit(though imo his best moments weren't as the personification of evil either but still beats pansy Burns.), and along with last week joke pacing's really taken a step up generally.
I was a bit concerned about possible whitewashing too, but I think personally at the end of the day Lennon would have been a little lost in this period of his life with or without Ono. Even if Ono could theoretically do some part in painting a different picture of him, a lot of this footage and reading between the…
Entering rest mode.
This episode kinda reminded me of this social phenomenon I hear some talking about where some believe we've gotten to a point where modern distractions can be used to support single lifestyles kinda like Stan's parents disturbingly sorta do in this until the end, though that's probably thinking too…
profound sadness
…is what I felt a bit when finishing this. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and it had some moments that were funny as hell…it's Venture Brothers at some of its best. However…something about this was just so sad and obviously it's intentional. I thought it this was a great culmination of many things in…
I thought it was a pretty strong B+
Personally I thought it was far more than a C but AV's entitled to their opinions.
It's not because it's been seen before…
I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with retreading stories in the Simpsons now, because expecting them not to retread or rehash in the general sense… after 22 years is just flat out delusional to me. However, even if its a retread in the big ways, it can still be…
Wha?
Man, low ratings is one thing…that's understandable, but this? Well I love the direction it's going, and so do many other so called insomniac pot heads (And you know…those of us who may actually not be too but we don't matter.). I think Lazzo is severely underestimating his target audience.
