I started watching Suits sometime in season two, and never went back to catch up. It seemed fun and I got the point. But as the show progresses, I find more and more than I can't stand Harvey. The actor is fine; he's doing what he's supposed to do in the role.  I can't understand how Harvey inspires loyalty. He's a

My memory - not always trustworthy - tells me that at the time, the original plan was for "Hearts and Bones" to be a Simon and Garfunkel reunion album. And that Garfunkel actually recorded any number of vocals for it. Then Simon decided the songs were too "personal" and had all the Garfunkel vocals removed from the

I love filthy McCartney, and "Monkberry" is one of the filthiest. What's the line about the banana? Can't bring it to the front of my addled mind.

Bull on Thicke as "the good guy." The opening of Blurred Lines is a direct rip off of "Got to Give it Up." Is there legal grounds for copyright infringement? Probably not, since the song itself is different. But Robin Thicke and the "artists" behind that piece of crap are not the "good" guys. They took the groove and

Well I can watch this online while doing meaningless tasks at work - in other words, while at work - so I'll catch ep 2. But the first one left me cold.

1973! The year I graduated high school. We didn't even have cell phones! I am not kidding. No cell phones! We had no way to send each other pictures of our junk. We'd have to find someplace to meet and show it in person.

Have Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend been seen in the same room at the same time? How about Grizzly Bear?  Vampire Fire? Grizzly Weekend?

Isn't there a new Transformers movie coming? Gonna be so cool! Shia is so hot. For TV, can't wait for NCIS LA to start up to see what happens with that big cliffhanger. The suspense has been killing me. Music? Well I might be going out on a limb here, but I see a Jay Z/Kanye/Beyonce Christmas album on its way. OK,

Nothing to add here on Saturday morning cartoons.  I just want to say that that either Jim Rash has clones all over Los Angeles or his look is really popular for a certain build of white guy. Or maybe there's no distinction there.

Two of my favorites are Anonymous Hipster Collective's "Boring Ass Droning" as well as UB Jokin's "Yowsah Yowsah" - best track being the derivative but fun "I am also a God, so there." Ultimately I keep returning to Made-up Name's "You've Never Heard of This Which Makes Me Hipper Than You (but if you actually hear it

There's not much to watch this summer so I don't feel like picking at The Bridge. It's extremely well-made and makes for a diverting hour. But I do have some irrelevant observations:

AMC ran it all recently (Rectify) and I DVR'd. Just watched episode 1. Thanks for saying "pays off in the end" because not only did I think it was slow, I found it somehow mildly proud of itself for being so lean and understated in its storytelling that it got a bit on my nerves. I assume more detail on the original

No mention of the very brief Breaking Bad ads? Looked like new footage to me. Jessie seemed to be under a glass coffee table, looking at a cockroach crossing over his face.  Hank was driving with a very very determined look on his face.

Well, glad that's not my experience. I am 57, gay, and still enjoying myself. When I was in my 20s I was not thrilled with my hairy torso and stocky build. The ideal then was slim or gym-toned and smooth/shaved. Still is in some places, I guess. Like West Hellywood.  I did ok back then but now I am a full-on daddy

No.

I have no adequate response to your excellently argued point. I am indeed an old man.

In 30-40 years there'll be a TV show somewhat like Mad Men, telling a story against the temporal setting of the last decade or so. And in place of the kinds of songs actually heard on Mad Men, there's be Rihanna and Jay-Z and Justin T and Justin B and Brittany Whatever (I literally cannot remember her last name at the

Exactly! That OJ witness guy may be a douche but BB did it right and very effectively. Artistically GoT was going for the suddent blackout. But even at the moment I thought, "She sure went fast and apparently her entire neck is one artery."

Yes an "A" episode except - for me - the castle raid scene with Daenerys ended so goofy and corny, with the fake suspense of "did our three heroes survive?" and even after only two first show up, "did the one Daenerys likes make it?" He's such a self-impressed tool. Daenerys would have better taste to go for that tall

But thats what the notice says. "We don't like Longmire, and we're not going to review it after tonight, but we'll review the second season premiere, because we don't like it." So my point would be, start not not reviewing it now, because the review is too predictable.
